2016 Outlook: Deep-league Only

The Jaguars selected Gabbert with the 10th overall pick in 2011, but he played himself out of the league after two seasons. After 24 starts in the NFL, Blaine had a 5-19 record with a short completion rate (53.8). He threw only 23 TDs with 17 Ints. Over the 2013 and 2014 seasons, Gabbert was only on the field for 93 passing plays while tossing two TDs and seven Ints. The 49ers gave Blaine eight starts over the second half of 2015. His completion rate (63.1) was a career high, but he still is a dink and dunk QB (6.8 yards per attempt in 2015 - 5.3 in his career), Gabbert had two games with over 300 yards passing and no games with more than two TDs. He had added value as a runner (32/185/1). With a new coaching staff in place, I don't think he has the best skill to run this offense as Kelly wants to challenge the defense in all areas of the field.
