Robert Griffin III wasn't the only important Redskins offensive player who left Sunday's win over the Jaguars early. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson also got injured in the first quarter of that game; he's just not going to miss nearly as much time as Griffin will.
Jackson has been diagnosed with a sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder. However, an MRI on Monday revealed no structural damage, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says Jackson intends to play this Sunday against his old team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Of course, everyone wants to see what Jackson has in store for the team that controversially released him in March. But keep in mind that this is the exact same injury that Browns tight end Jordan Cameron has right now. He suffered it in Week 1, was told during the week he doesn't have any structural damage and still didn't play this past Sunday against the Saints. Try as he might, I think Jackson's chances of playing this weekend are only 50-50. Pierre Garcon and Kirk Cousins' new favorite, tight end Niles Paul, would pick up most of the slack if Jackson is out.
