2016 Outlook: Deep-league Only

Last updated on Jul-27-2016 by Shawn Childs

Even with Eli Manning having a plus year for the Giants and New York lacking talent at WR3 and the TE position, Randle had regression in his opportunities. He caught only 57 of his 90 targets (63.3 percent) for 797 yards while setting a career high in TDs (8). Rueben appeared to be on the uptick after having his best opportunity in his career in 2014 (71/938/3 on 127 targets). His experience and resume should put him in a position to be the WR2 for the Eagles in 2016. Last year Philly only completed 172 balls to the WR position on 279 targets for 2158 yards and 15 TDs (87/1161/7 on 151 targets without Jordan Matthew stats). There is an opportunity for success here, but Randle will need to hold off Nelson Agholor. I expect a 60 catch season for 800+ yards with a handful of TDs, which will be weak WR3 in PPR leagues.

2016 Mock Draft Results

Month Position Franchise/Comments
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #1
June 12th, 2016
7.11 Jerry Colvin - At this point the WR selections were feeble to say the least and I find the possibilities of what Randle may or may not bring to the Philly offense rather intriguing. With an average of 14.1 yards per reception he has upside, even if in a limited capacity.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #2
June 27th, 2016
14.05 Scout Fantasy - Shawn Childs - Nice steady WR6 with reasonable floor if I need to play him as an injury cover.
