2016 Outlook: Bye Week Fill-inLast updated on Jul-27-2016 by Shawn Childs
Zuerlein came into the NFL with the mystique of having a monster leg with tremendous value from long range. In his rookie season, the Rams gave him 13 kicks of 50 yards or longer with seven going through the uprights. His success rate came at 74.2 that season, which was somewhat excusable due to the overall length of his attempts. Last year Greg only made 66.7 percent of his 30 field goal chances (3-for-9 from long range) plus two missed extra points in 28 opportunities. In his career, Zuerlein is 16-for-31 from 50 yards or longer and 77-for-88 (87.5 percent) on his other chances. He's now been in the league for four years, and he needs some maturity to add consistency to his game. LA won't score a ton of TDs until they have more dynamic players at WR and TE. This should allow Greg to have many field goal chances as long as the Rams aren't chasing on the scoreboard. Zuerlein will have a plus season at some point in his career, but he doesn't have long-term value over a 16 game schedule in the NFL in the Fantasy market.
