2016 Outlook: Gamble (high risk)Last updated on Aug-04-2016 by Shawn Childs
Update (7/22): The best chance for Gordon to play in 2016 with come after applying for reinstatement to the NFL on August 1st. It's still not clear that Josh has taken the right steps to get back on the field. He did have a meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell on July 20th, which is a positive sign for an end to his madness. Gordon would have instant top 20 WR value if he were ever cleared to play all 16 games.
The muddy road of Josh Gordon continues to lead to misery for Browns' fans. After being suspended for a year for a failed drug test in 2014, Josh may have failed another test in March putting his reinstatement at risk. Gordon played college ball with Griffin at Baylor where he had limited success (42/714/7 in 2010) due to similar issues. Gordon has spent time with Johnny Manziel over the last year, which is a negative influence. If Josh gets another dance in the NFL, he will be the best WR on the Browns. The question for Fantasy owner would be: how long before another setback? Gordon is a name to follow for sure due to his possible impact value and favorable price point headed into the draft season.
