2016 Outlook: Solid/Safe Pick

Last updated on Dec-03-2016 by Shawn Childs

Update 12/03/16

After playing better in his last three games (8/97, 6/55, and 6/35/1), Ertz made a step backwards in Week 12 (3/36). Over the last four games, Zach has 32 targets (eight per game), which is a solid opportunity for a TE. With Jordan Matthews battling an ankle injury, Ertz could be the Eagles top receiving target in Week 13. The Bengals are 28th in the league defending TEs (62/755/6 on 87 targets). Three teams have beaten Cinci at TE over the last six games (NE - 12/210/1, WAS - 14/192/1, and NYG - 8/71/1). I’d just say, he makes sense this week if you need to save a few dollars in building your winning roster.

2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #1
June 12th, 2016
10.04 Matt De Lima - Rather than draft a fourth WR, I opted for a second TE. Ertz also has top 5 potential at the position and would fill in nicely as a flex alongside of my previous pick of Ladarius Green.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #2
June 27th, 2016
9.07 Scout Fantasy - Matt De Lima - Ertz finally came alive at the end of last season and I'm hoping he finally blows up the way Tyler Eifert did last year.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #3
August 10th, 2016
9.09 Football Diehards - Justin Lonero - Ertz may be a top-five tight end by the end of this upcoming season. His numbers have been trending upward since 2013. Philly's wide receiving corps is suspect.
