2016 Outlook: Deep-league OnlyLast updated on Jul-27-2016 by Shawn Childs
Johnson was the WR rewarded the most by the failure of Patterson in 2014. Over the last seven games last year, Charles had 25 catches for 415 yards and two TDs on 47 targets. His catch rate was 52.5 percent, which is a strike for me. His best game was against the Jets in week 14 (4/103 and one TD). Johnson went to a small school (Grand Valley State) where he caught 128 passes for 2229 yards with 31 TDs over two seasons. He has plus speed (4.4 forty) with enough size (6'2' and 215 lbs.) to have value at the goal line. Charles was a draft bust in 2015 leading to only nine catches for 127 yards in 13 targets. He broke his ribs in Week 3 leading to him losing playing time. Johnson also battled an ankle issue late in the year. Charles has a strong enough skill set to battle for a starting job in 2016.
