While Brandon Coleman caught the eye of Fantasy owners during the 2015 draft season, Snead was the player Brees trusted the most as the WR2 on the Saints. Willie had five short games last year (1/63, 3/25, and 3/35) plus a missed game due to a calf issue and an empty game with no catches on one target). Over his other 11 games, Snead had 62 catches for 861 yards and three TDs on 86 targets. This translates to 5.6 catches for 78.3 yards and 0.30 TDs on 7.8 targets each game or 15.2 Fantasy points per game in PPR leagues. Over 15 games played, Willie finished with 69 catches for 984 yards and three TDs on 101 targets. Over his last two years at Ball State in 2012 and 2013, Snead caught 195 passes for 2664 yards and 24 TDs highlighted by his junior year (106/1516/15). Last year New Orleans completed 233 balls to the WR position for 3126 yards and 18 TDs on 349 targets. This just shows the strength of opportunity for the WR2 in this offense. If he beats out Michael Thomas for the starting job, Willie has a chance at 80 catches for 1200 yards and a handful of TDs.

Month Position Franchise/Comments
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #1
June 12th, 2016
12.04 Matt De Lima - Everyone is moving toward Michael Thomas as the presumptive star in the making behind Brandin Cooks. That's far from a lock and Snead is the one with the better resume. Well worth a flier as a WR5.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #2
June 27th, 2016
8.03 Scout Fantasy - Armando Marsal - Willie Snead – Caught 69 passes for 984 yards as a rookie. Regression is possible, but as a WR4 I could do worse. Plus I wanted to pair him up with Brees.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #3
August 10th, 2016
8.05 High-Stakes Expert - Kimra Schleicher - With the acquisition of Coby Fleener and Michael Thomas, Snead's targets could decrease this season.
