FANTASY PROFILE / STATS & MORE

After a three-year span in which he missed just seven of 78 field goal attempts, Josh missed six of 26 last season. In each of his past seven seasons, Scobee has attempted fewer than 30 FGs. He's also averaged fewer than 22 extra points over his last four years. The only real positive in his game is that he is 23-for-35 from 50 yards and out since the start of 2008. For his career, Josh has made 80.8 percent of his field goals. Scobee has a solid leg, but he can't have success without a huge improvement from this offense.

Latest Update

Aug-31-15 Steelers Kicker Garrett Hartley placed on season-ending I.R.

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Garrett Hartley's season is over. He has been placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a severe hamstring injury in the team's third preseason game. The Steelers traded a sixth-round pick for Josh Scobee, who will be the team's starting kicker moving forward barring injury or a meltdown.

Fantasy Analysis:

If losing one kicker wasn't bad enough the Steelers have now lost two. Fortunately for them Scobee isn't a horrible third option. He now has value just because he's in a high-powered offense. However, it's important to consider that Heinz Field is a tough place to kick.
