2016 Outlook: Stud (low risk)

There was a lot of frustration watching Rodgers play in 2015. Fantasy owners and fans thought he would find his rhythm and save his season, but his WRs couldn't get any separation leading to a career-low 6.7 yards per pass attempt (8.0 - career average). Even with a career high in pass attempts (572), Aaron had a career-low 3821 passing yards for a full season. His TD production (31) remained in a winning area, and he continues to minimize the damage in Ints (8). In addition to weaker WR plays due to the injury to Jordy Nelson and the lack of development for Davante Adams, the Packers had a regression in their pass protection (Rodgers was sacked 46 times compared to 28 in 2014). His success this year will again be tied to the health of Nelson plus the Packers added possible help at the TE position in Jared Cook. It is also important that Adams at least adds some value to the passing game. Aaron has a long winning resume (80-39) with high upside in passing TDs (257 over his last 118 games - 2.2 per game). His bar should be set at about 4300 passing yards with a chance at 35+ TDs. His draft value remains high in the early draft season (2nd QB off the board), so I would avoid him due to strength and depth at the QB position headed into 2016.

2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #1
June 12th, 2016
5.04 Doug Moore - After seeing Cam Newton go the pick before and seeing the opportunity to ?double up? on Aaron Rodgers, I jumped at the opportunity. I had two solid wide receivers and running backs already, so the ability to get Rodgers in the early 5th round after his ?down year? where he was the QB7 was too good to pass up.

7.05 USA Today - Tim Heaney - I don't take QBs early, but no way could I refuse in Round 7. With Jordy Nelson back, Rodgers will reclaim the throne.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #3
August 10th, 2016
5.05 Cowboys HQ - Matthew Postins - Does drafting the potential No. 1 quarterback in fantasy football in the fifth round require analysis? I pounced when he fell to me here.
