2016 Outlook: Over the Hill (decreased production)

This old dog is running out of tricks. The Colts gave Gore 294 touches in 2015 to prove his worth. He finished with 1234 combined yards, which fell in line with his previous resume, but Frank only gained 3.7 yards per rush (career low). His success in the passing game (34/267/1) was his best output since 2010. Even with a bump in value in the passing game, Gore only caught 58.6 percent of his 58 targets. This is a real low catch rate for a running back as most of his chances come close to the line of scrimmage. Frank never had over 100 yards rushing in a game in 2015 with only four games with 20 touches or more. The Colts' RBs had 334 rushes for 1200 yards and seven TDs in 2015 plus 61 catches for 485 yards and four TDs on 94 targets last year. Gore will start the season at age 33 with no games missed in the last five years. Indy doesn't have a RB blazing a trail to steal his touches, but a Fantasy owner has to wonder when his ride turns into wasted draft pick. Frank falls into the steady category with more risk than reward. Within this offense, 1200 yards seems to still be within reach with a few TDs and catches.

2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #1

6.12 Benny Ricciardi - Probably my first reach here, but the RB pool was drying up quick and I do not love my RB1 and RB2.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #2
June 27th, 2016
8.01 Fantasy Guru - Tom Brolley - I’m not expecting Gore to be a fantasy difference-maker, but he’s an ideal RB3 who could start any given week. He’s going to see the ball a ton each week because he literally has no viable NFL RB behind him right now.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #3
August 10th, 2016
8.03 So-Called Fantasy Experts - David Gonos - Drafting a 33-year-old running back is no reason to celebrate, but Gore is the featured back in what should be a high-powered offense, once again.
