2015 Outlook: Bye Week Fill-inLast updated on Dec-12-2015 by Shawn Childs
Week 14 DFS Update (12/12): Ginn is fun to watch as he consistently breaks free in the deep passing game, but he is less than a coin flip to catch the ball. Last week he had his best game of the year (5/80/2) while catching half of his 10 targets. On the year Ginn has six TDs while catching 45.4 percent of his 77 targets. The Falcons have one elite CB (Desmond Trufant) and one solid CB (Robert Alford). Low volume player with low upside matchup.
Week 13 DFS Update (12/5): Ginn was shutout in Week 12 with no targets, despite being on the field for 51 plays. He has four TDs, while averaging only 6.1 targets per game with a real short catch rate (44.7). In Week 3 Ginn had his best game of the year as far as receiving yards (93). He has the speed to beat CB Brandon Browner for a long TD, but will he catch the damn ball? Possible low price point flier in a hookup with Newton.
UPDATE (9/30): It speaks to the level of inexperience of Carolina's wide receiver corps that Ted Ginn is the team leader at his position. Now in his ninth year, Ginn is on pace to shatter his career-bests as a pass-catcher. Although Fantasy owners should remain skeptical, Ginn is absolutely worth a roster spot and could sneak his way into your starting lineup if the injury bug bites your team. Consider him a flex who loses some value in PPR formats since he is at his best when attacking deep downfield.
