2013 Outlook: Gamble (high risk)

Flynn was brought in to Seattle last season as the presumptive starter, but was upstaged by Russell Wilson. Wilson's otherworldly play made Flynn (and his large contract) expendable. The Raiders were quick to pounce and now have Flynn slotted in as their starter, though he'll once again face competition. We don't yet have a clear picture of Flynn's NFL capability, and the fact he will be playing in Oakland's weak offense makes him far from a sure pick in fantasy drafts.

Dec-21-14 Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has strained calf

Here is an injury story we'll be tracking throughout the week. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers strained a calf muscle in the early stages of Sunday's win over the Buccaneers. Rodgers played through the injury and compiled 31 completions on 40 attempts for 318 yards and one touchdown.
"It got really tight about halftime," Rodgers said about his calf. "Came in and got a little treatment and it loosened up a tad, but it was still pretty tight, and I had a hard time running. But I was able to move kind of in short segments in the picket, which was all I needed to do today."
For bookkeeping purposes, the Packers' backup quarterback is Matt Flynn.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Packers will face the Lions next week. Both teams have clinched playoff berths, but the winner gets the NFC North crown and a first-round bye, so neither team is going to be resting its starters (unlike some other teams, possibly). Calf injuries can nag and linger for a while, but Rodgers said after Sunday's game that he will be "OK" for Week 17. We'll see.
