2016 Outlook: Bye Week Fill-inLast updated on Aug-04-2016 by Shawn Childs
The kicker position for the Saints looks to be an open battle between Connor Barth and Kai Forbath. Over the last 12 games of 2015, Barth made 23 of his 28 field goals (82.1 percent) while connecting on 25 of 26 extra-point chances. In his career, Connor has made 84.8 percent of his FGs while being successful in 16 of 25 tries from 50 yards or longer. Last year New Orleans scored 51 TDs, but they didn't create many field goal chances (26) while their kickers only made 18 of their chances. Overall, Barth is an average NFL kicker with a reasonable opportunity for success. He looks like an in-season pickup at best until we know he has a starting job.
