Over the past five years, Stafford passed for 23174 yards and 144 TDs. This works out to 4635 yards and 29 passing TDs per season. During this span, Calvin Johnson caught 50 TDs with 7428 yards. Matthew will need to find a replacement for about 30 percent of his production in the passing game. In 2015, Stafford had his second best year in his career in TDs (32) with a career-high completion rate (67.2). His success with completions was due to more balls directed at the RB position (135/1216/5 on 173 targets). This season he'll have less talent at WR and the TE position hasn't been a factor in the passing game since Eric Ebron arrived on the scene. In his career, Matt has a 42-51 record while attempting over 600 passes over his last five years. I have to believe 4000+ yards will still be in reach just by pure volume of chances, but his lack of a stud receiving option will limit his explosiveness in TDs. Stafford has low QB2 value written all over him.

7/27 - The Lions are expected to sign veteran free agent Anquan Boldin. This gives Stafford another big bodied reliable target for the offense that will be looking to find a rhythm without Calvin Johnson. This doesn't affect Golden Tate much, but Marvin Jones and Eric Ebron should both be knocked down a few spots on your rankings as balls that would normally be forced to those players will instead go to the reliable AB.

15.07 Scout Fantasy - Armando Marsal - Stafford's stock has dropped due to the loss of Calvin Johnson, but the team has added plenty of options for him to throw to. This is a pass heavy offense and Stafford will likely spread the ball around. He offers plenty of upside.
