David Johnson, TE, Steelers
2016 Outlook: Solid/Safe PickLast updated on Dec-03-2016 by Shawn Childs
Update 12/03/16Johnson has been a beast in six of his last seven games (33.50, 34.80, 25.10, 17.80, 27.10, 35.00, and 30.10 Fantasy points in PPR leagues). A big part of his rise has been his improved role in the passing game over the last five games (35/248/3). David has a receiving TD in three straight games while scoring 13 combined TDs on the year. He's on a pace to score over 400 Fantasy points. The Redskins are 25th in the league vs. the RB position with seven teams scoring over 25.0 Fantasy points from the RB position. Washington allows 4.7 yards per rush while allowing 16 rushing TDs. They've minimized the damage in the passing to RBs (49/333/1). Huge salary with an uptick matchup, but a 25-point Fantasy game doesn't work for his high salary. Based on 2016, many will fade and he'll score 40 Fantasy points.
