2016 Outlook: Solid/Safe Pick

Last updated on Oct-07-2016 by Shawn Childs

Update (10/7): (DK - $6,900) – Over the last two games, Thomas has 12 catches for 194 yards and two TDs on 14 targets. As great as his success looks, the Broncos really haven't thrown enough for him to deliver impact games week after week. After four games, Demaryius only has 27 targets (6.75 per game). This week Thomas appeared on the injury report with a hip issue. WRs have 56 catches for 653 yards and six TDs on 97 targets against the Falcons. CB Desmond Trufant has been moving around in his responsibilities in 2016 with mixed result. Last year Trufant was one of the better CBs in the league, but he's been only about league average after four games. The health of Trevor Siemian and the trust in Paxton Lynch will be a big factor in the value of Thomas in Week 5. Trending upward, but he really needs double digit targets to deliver impact results. The Broncos should score on the ground so I'll leave this option in the stall.

Month Position Franchise/Comments
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #1
June 12th, 2016
3.01 Benny Ricciardi - DT as a WR3 is pretty solid on any team. WR are so important in a PPR and we can start three in this league.
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #2
June 27th, 2016
3.06 Mastersball - Perry Van Hook - Thomas did not have a great year in 2015 for many reasons but he has admitted that, and is set to prove his place this season among the top wideouts in the game. (That said I might have taken Eddie Lacy here had he lasted one more pick)
2016 FFToolbox Mock Draft #3
August 10th, 2016
2.09 Scout Fantasy - Corey Parson - Thomas floor in a point per reception league is a WR 1, I, not buying huge regression from Thomas because of shaky QB play. Thomas is a steal in the second and third round of drafts.
